Tournament Director

The Tournament Director shall be responsible for organizing the Regional Tournament in accordance with USGA rules, UIL Constitution and Contest Rules.
The Tournament Director shall notify each qualifying school as to how the tournament will be organized or run, allowing ample time for each member to prepare for the event.
The Tournament Director shall, determine the site or sites for the Regional Golf Tournament.

The Tournament Director shall certify the final results and send them to the State Golf Tournament Director. Tournament Director

Tee Times will begin at 8:30 A.M. each day on holes 1 and 10.

U.I.L. rules allow only ONE visit for a practice round between the end of your district tournament and the start of the regional tournament.

Practice round fees are $50 per player. Walking only.
Girls practice rounds are after 1:45pm on Sunday and Boys practice rounds after the completion of Girls play on Tuesday.

SPECTATOR CARTS

Victoria Country Club will offer Spectator carts for $40 per day.
Carts will be rented on a first come first served basis. Carts will sell out each day very early. No reservations in advance.

REPORTING DISTRICT SCORES—ATTENTION DISTRICT CHAIRS

Please email me the official district scores of the two qualifying teams/medalists as soon as your district tournament is complete. The results will be used for certification and seeding. Please also include each player’s graduation year next to their name in the results.

PAIRINGS

First round pairings will be made directly from the UIL tee sheet according to district scores.
The top 4 Champions will be paired together off the #1 tee. Others will follow in line by seeding on #1 and #10 tee. Note: We may pair teams in threesomes for pace of play purposes.
We try not to pair district teams together on day 1, but it might be necessary to if the lowest two seeds are from the same district.
Medalists will tee off before the teams tee off on day 1, and medalists will tee off after the teams on day 2.
Best district scores tee off first on day 1. Best day 1 regional scores tee off last on day 2.

COACHES MEETINGS

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

Coaches are allowed to bring snacks and drinks to hand out to players.
Coolers for drinks/snacks may be placed on the course by teams.
There will be a snack bar set up by the scoreboard where hotdogs/snacks/drinks may be purchased.
